Behind the Veil: Have You Pushed God Aside? | Week 1

Jesus tore the veil so that we could enter the presence of God—but have we created new barriers of our own?

In Week 1 of our new series, Behind the Veil, we explore the power, holiness, and importance of God’s presence. Through Matthew 27, Haggai 1, and Revelation 2, we are challenged to examine what occupies the center of our lives.

We may never physically tear down a church, but we can still reduce God’s place in our lives when prayer interrupts our schedule, conviction interrupts our pleasure, obedience interrupts our ambition, or God’s timing interrupts our urgency.

The torn veil was not permission to treat God casually. It was an invitation to approach Him personally.

Jesus tore the veil to bring us closer—not to become less important.

Ask yourself:

What have I placed at the center?

What part of God’s will have I treated as an obstruction?

Have I built an entrance for myself while pushing God into the background?

God is not only looking for a beautiful building. He is looking for a heart that will honor His presence.
