The name of Jesus has at times caused confusion for many. For some He is a prophet, for others He is a God and to you who is He?
Actually Jesus himself asked His disciples the same question and his disciples response was probably similar to yours today.
But I love his second question. “But what about you?” He asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Many times, Jesus, God, is to us what we have heard him from our parents, from our teachers and from others but if we are honest with ourselves, can we ask the question, who is He? Jesus according to scripture is the Son of God Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Actually, in another verse He himself mentions that He is the way, the truth and the life. “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well.”

JOHN 14:6

We believe that God created the world and everything in it, including you, and He wants to begin a personal, one-on-one relationship with you today. Probably you have thought that God was a religion, a chore or even a madman in heaven wanting to hurt you for your wrong doing. Jesus is not a religion, He is not wanting your chore and He is not out to hurt you. In fact, He is out to bless you, to love on you and show you that He longs for a relationship with YOU.

You see the issue we all have is that we believe many times what we have heard rather than what we have encountered. Today Jesus wants you to encounter Him and allow Him to show you how much He loves you. He wants to give you a new beginning, to be made whole, and to discover all He created you to be. How can I, you may ask? Simple… Turn to Him today and ask Him, Jesus please make me new. Romans 10:9 says that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Salvation is God’s free gift to us. All we have to do is accept it. It is an irrevocable acceptance into the family of God and it is an empowerment to live life wholly and fully with the purpose of reflecting God to the rest of His creation. If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know in fact that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a simple prayer of surrender to Jesus like this
Dear Jesus, I don’t know what I am doing but all I know is that I have tried life without you and today I realize that I need you. I am sorry for anything I have done wrong and I ask you to please forgive me. I accept your love and your grace for me and ask You to be the Lord of my life. Help me believe in You and love You every day and help me to show the world what You are like and how great Your love is.
