Remember While You Wait
When you cannot see what God is doing now, remember what God has done before. Yesterday's faithfulness can give you faith for what God is still writing today.
God Was There the Whole Time
"Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it."
Jacob woke up and realized something powerful: God had been there before Jacob knew He was there.
There are seasons of life that feel confusing while we are living them. We ask where God is, why He is silent, or why things are happening the way they are.
Then later, we look back and see what we could not see before.
The closed door was protection. The delay was preparation. The unexpected change was redirection. The strength to keep going was God carrying us.
God can be working in a moment before you recognize His hand in it.
You may not understand everything about your current season yet. That does not mean God is absent.
One day you may look back and say: "God was there the whole time."
Where can you now see God's hand in a season you did not understand at the time?
God, thank You that Your presence does not depend on my ability to recognize it. Help me trust that You are with me even when I cannot see what You are doing. Open my eyes to recognize Your faithfulness in my story. Amen.
Write down one difficult season where you can now see that God was with you. Remind yourself: "Even when I could not see Him, God was there."
Remember What God Has Done
"I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago."
Notice the words: "I will remember."
Remembering is intentional.
When life gets difficult, our minds often replay disappointment, failure, unanswered prayers and fear.
But Scripture teaches us to intentionally remember God's faithfulness.
David did this before facing Goliath. He remembered the lion. He remembered the bear. He remembered how God had carried him before.
What God did yesterday can fuel your faith for today.
Maybe you do not know what God is going to do next. But you do know what He has already done.
Sometimes the faith you need for today is found by remembering the faithfulness of yesterday.
What is one moment from your past that reminds you God is faithful?
God, help me remember. When fear makes me focus on everything that could go wrong, remind me of everything You have already brought me through. Let yesterday's faithfulness strengthen my faith today. Amen.
Write down three specific ways God has been faithful to you. Keep the list somewhere you can see it and declare: "The God who was faithful then is faithful now."
Build a Memory
"In the future, when your children ask you, 'What do these stones mean?' tell them..."
After Israel crossed the Jordan, God told them to collect stones and build a memorial.
Why?
Because God knew how quickly people forget.
The miracle that feels unforgettable today can become distant tomorrow.
Those stones reminded them: God brought us through. God opened the way. God was faithful.
God does not only want us to experience His faithfulness. He wants us to remember it.
You need your own "stones." Not necessarily literal rocks, but reminders.
A journal entry. A photo. A date. A prayer God answered. A story you refuse to forget.
Because the next time fear says, "God will not come through," you need something that reminds you: He already has.
What "stone of remembrance" can help you remember God's faithfulness?
God, forgive me for how quickly I forget what You have done. Help me build reminders of Your faithfulness so that when difficult seasons come, I will remember who You are. Amen.
Create one reminder today: a note, photo, journal entry or saved Scripture connected to a moment when God was faithful. Do not forget what God has done.
Tell the Story
"They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony."
God did not tell Israel to build the memorial stones only for themselves.
Their children were going to ask about them. The story had to be told.
Your testimony is not only about what God did for you.
It can become something God does through you.
Your testimony may become someone else's reason to keep believing.
The season you wanted to forget may become the story someone else desperately needs to hear.
You do not need a dramatic testimony. You need an honest one.
Maybe your story is: God provided. God protected me. God redirected me. God restored me. God found me.
Or maybe your testimony is simply: "I am still here."
Tell the story.
Who could be encouraged by hearing something God has brought you through?
God, give me courage to speak about what You have done in my life. Use my story to remind someone else that You are faithful and that their story is not finished. Amen.
Share one "But God" moment with someone today. Tell them what happened and how you can now see God's hand in it. Your story may strengthen their faith.
Remember While You Wait
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength."
There is a difficult space between obedience and fulfillment.
You prayed. You worshiped. You took the step.
And still... you are waiting.
Waiting does not mean God is absent. Waiting does not mean God forgot you. Waiting does not mean nothing is happening.
Sometimes waiting simply means the story is not finished yet.
Week 1 taught us to praise while we question.
Week 2 taught us to move even when we cannot see.
Now we learn to remember while we wait.
When you cannot see His hand, remember His faithfulness.
When you do not understand the silence, remember His promises.
When fear tells you nothing is happening, remember what He has already done.
The God who carried you then is still with you now.
What do you need to remember about God while you wait on Him today?
God, waiting is difficult, but I choose to trust You. Remind me of Your faithfulness when I become discouraged. Give me strength to wait with faith and confidence, knowing that You are still writing my story. Amen.
Read through the reminders you created this week. Thank God out loud for each example of His faithfulness. Then declare: "My story is not finished."
When you cannot see what God is doing now, remember what God has done before.
Remember while you wait. One day this season may become another "But God" story.
Recuerda Mientras Esperas
Cuando no puedas ver lo que Dios está haciendo ahora, recuerda lo que Dios ha hecho antes. La fidelidad de ayer puede darte fe para lo que Dios todavía está escribiendo hoy.
Dios Estuvo Ahí Todo el Tiempo
"Ciertamente Jehová está en este lugar, y yo no lo sabía."
Jacob despertó y reconoció algo poderoso: Dios había estado allí antes de que Jacob supiera que estaba allí.
Hay temporadas que se sienten confusas mientras las estamos viviendo. Preguntamos dónde está Dios, por qué guarda silencio o por qué las cosas están sucediendo de esa manera.
Pero después miramos hacia atrás y vemos lo que antes no podíamos ver.
La puerta cerrada fue protección. La demora fue preparación. El cambio inesperado fue redirección. La fuerza para continuar era Dios sosteniéndonos.
Dios puede estar obrando en un momento antes de que puedas reconocer Su mano.
Tal vez todavía no entiendes tu temporada actual. Eso no significa que Dios esté ausente.
Un día podrías mirar hacia atrás y decir: "Dios estuvo ahí todo el tiempo."
¿En qué temporada difícil puedes ahora reconocer la mano de Dios?
Dios, gracias porque Tu presencia no depende de mi capacidad para reconocerla. Ayúdame a confiar en que estás conmigo aun cuando no puedo ver lo que estás haciendo. Abre mis ojos para reconocer Tu fidelidad en mi historia. Amén.
Escribe una temporada difícil donde ahora puedes ver que Dios estuvo contigo. Recuérdate: "Aunque no podía verlo, Dios estaba ahí."
Recuerda Lo Que Dios Ya Ha Hecho
"Me acordaré de las obras de Jehová; sí, haré yo memoria de tus maravillas antiguas."
Mira estas palabras: "Me acordaré."
Recordar es intencional.
Cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles, nuestra mente tiende a repetir la decepción, el fracaso, las oraciones no contestadas y el temor.
Pero la Biblia nos enseña a recordar intencionalmente la fidelidad de Dios.
David hizo esto antes de enfrentar a Goliat. Recordó el león. Recordó el oso. Recordó cómo Dios lo había sostenido antes.
Lo que Dios hizo ayer puede alimentar tu fe para hoy.
Tal vez no sabes qué hará Dios después. Pero sí sabes lo que Él ya ha hecho.
A veces la fe que necesitas hoy se encuentra recordando la fidelidad de ayer.
¿Cuál es un momento de tu pasado que te recuerda que Dios es fiel?
Dios, ayúdame a recordar. Cuando el temor me haga pensar en todo lo que puede salir mal, recuérdame todo aquello por lo que ya me has hecho pasar. Que Tu fidelidad de ayer fortalezca mi fe hoy. Amén.
Escribe tres maneras específicas en las que Dios ha sido fiel contigo. Coloca esa lista donde puedas verla y declara: "El Dios que fue fiel ayer sigue siendo fiel hoy."
Construye un Recuerdo
"Cuando mañana preguntaren vuestros hijos: ¿Qué significan estas piedras?"
Después de que Israel cruzó el Jordán, Dios les dijo que recogieran piedras y levantaran un memorial.
¿Por qué?
Porque Dios sabe cuán rápido olvidamos.
El milagro que hoy parece imposible de olvidar puede sentirse distante mañana.
Esas piedras les recordaban: Dios nos trajo hasta aquí. Dios abrió el camino. Dios fue fiel.
Dios no solamente quiere que experimentemos Su fidelidad. Quiere que la recordemos.
Nosotros también necesitamos nuestras propias "piedras." No necesariamente piedras físicas, sino recordatorios.
Una nota. Una foto. Una fecha. Una oración contestada. Una historia que te niegas a olvidar.
Porque cuando el temor diga: "Dios no va a responder," necesitas algo que te recuerde: Él ya lo ha hecho.
¿Qué "piedra de recuerdo" puedes crear para no olvidar la fidelidad de Dios?
Dios, perdóname por lo rápido que puedo olvidar lo que has hecho. Ayúdame a crear recordatorios de Tu fidelidad para que cuando lleguen tiempos difíciles, recuerde quién eres. Amén.
Crea un recordatorio hoy: una nota, foto, entrada de diario o versículo relacionado con un momento donde Dios fue fiel. No olvides lo que Dios ha hecho.
Cuenta la Historia
"Le han vencido... por medio de la palabra del testimonio de ellos."
Dios no le dijo a Israel que levantara las piedras solamente para ellos.
Sus hijos iban a preguntar por ellas. La historia tenía que ser contada.
Tu testimonio no se trata solamente de lo que Dios hizo por ti.
Puede convertirse en algo que Dios haga a través de ti.
Tu testimonio puede convertirse en la razón por la que otra persona siga creyendo.
La temporada que quisiste olvidar puede convertirse en la historia que otra persona necesita desesperadamente escuchar.
No necesitas un testimonio dramático. Necesitas uno honesto.
Tal vez tu historia es: Dios proveyó. Dios me protegió. Dios me redirigió. Dios me restauró. Dios me encontró.
O tal vez tu testimonio simplemente es: "Todavía estoy aquí."
Cuenta la historia.
¿Quién podría recibir ánimo al escuchar algo por lo que Dios te hizo pasar?
Dios, dame valor para hablar de lo que has hecho en mi vida. Usa mi historia para recordarle a alguien más que Tú eres fiel y que su historia todavía no ha terminado. Amén.
Comparte hoy un momento de "Pero Dios" con alguien. Cuéntale qué pasó y cómo ahora puedes reconocer la mano de Dios. Tu historia puede fortalecer su fe.
Recuerda Mientras Esperas
"Pero los que esperan a Jehová tendrán nuevas fuerzas."
Hay un espacio difícil entre la obediencia y el cumplimiento.
Oraste. Adoraste. Diste el paso.
Y aun así... sigues esperando.
Esperar no significa que Dios está ausente. Esperar no significa que Dios se olvidó de ti. Esperar no significa que nada está sucediendo.
A veces esperar simplemente significa que la historia todavía no ha terminado.
La primera semana aprendimos a adorar mientras preguntamos.
La segunda semana aprendimos a movernos aunque no podamos ver.
Ahora aprendemos a recordar mientras esperamos.
Cuando no puedas ver Su mano, recuerda Su fidelidad.
Cuando no entiendas el silencio, recuerda Sus promesas.
Cuando el temor diga que nada está sucediendo, recuerda lo que Él ya hizo.
El Dios que te sostuvo entonces sigue contigo ahora.
¿Qué necesitas recordar acerca de Dios mientras esperas hoy?
Dios, esperar es difícil, pero decido confiar en Ti. Recuérdame Tu fidelidad cuando me sienta desanimado. Dame fuerzas para esperar con fe y confianza, sabiendo que todavía estás escribiendo mi historia. Amén.
Lee los recordatorios que creaste durante esta semana. Dale gracias a Dios en voz alta por cada ejemplo de Su fidelidad. Luego declara: "Mi historia todavía no ha terminado."
Cuando no puedas ver lo que Dios está haciendo ahora, recuerda lo que Dios ha hecho antes.
Recuerda mientras esperas. Un día esta temporada puede convertirse en otra historia de "Pero Dios."
